FEF Mission
Statement
Provide highly reliable computing infrastructures for the CDF, D0, and
MiniBoone online systems with minimal downtime and interruptions to
data taking operations. Enable the Fermilab based experiments
to produce a high level of physics output by operating the production
and analysis batch clusters efficiently and using common solutions.
Provide central services to the experiments such as web
servers, database instances, CVS repositories, batch systems,
interactive login pools, and disk storage needed to analyze data and
enable collaboration among the experimenters. Support desktop
systems at CDF to provide a secure and highly useable platform for CDF
experimenters to access other computing resources.
